Grafting sucks

...really bad. I hate grafting, I will never understand how to do it. Hence, I shall never finish Rogue's hood.

Since I obviously don't know how to graft, there are no progress photos today. Instead, we have this.

What kind of grafting? I'm the kitchner stitch queen. If you need help with that kind of grafting, I'd be happy to help you through my blog - I took a class and the instructor gave us some tips and notes.

If you scroll down, there are videos of different grafting techniques. I learned to do intarsia from these videos. You may need high speed internet or to download and then watch if you are on dial up.

I used to hate grafting, until a friend taught me a trick, which I shall now share with you.

When you reach the grafting point, knit a row in a contrast yarn. The waste yarn will then act as a guide as you Kitchner (you follow it as it goes through the "real" stitches). I hope that makes sense ...
