The Finish Line

So, for those of you in the know, I am still alive and have not quite dropped off the face of the planet. I have been off busy baby-making, which takes up much of my time now. I have however, had time to take the occasional poppy picture:
















And Rick, in his wonderfulness, was able to find the time to sand, stain, and put together my Kromski for me. Get this-my Symphony works! I am incredibly pleased with this, as my poor Kromski has sat dejected on the floor for two-ish years now.




















Knitting? Oh, yes, there has been knitting. Lots of knitting between all of the doctors appointments and ultrasounds and physical therapy appointments (rather painful, really beneficial-I'm ok though, it's just temporary) and days at home because moving around is really getting to be way too much of an effort and I've been advised not to do it much.













I am really looking forward to the end now, at 37 weeks. I've been advised that c will be small, in the 25th percentile, and at last check a week ago was 5 lbs 10 oz. It also appears that she may attempt to jump ship early, but that if she does she's perfectly ok to do so at this point.














c has been chilling in there, just putting on weight at this point, as she was practice breathing and hiccuping like crazy as of two weeks ago, and her brain is fully developed. Good news, which is what we like to hear around here.














My Mom has been able to come down fairly often lately, which is good, since I have enjoyed the company. She left me with a crazy amount of movies when she was down for my birthday in June from her collection, so I've been working my way through those while Rick is at work.
















We've agreed at this point that it would probably be best if I stayed at home with c afterward, instead of going back to work. That was a hard decision to make, since I like where I work and what I do. However we both feel that the rewards of me staying home with c instead of putting her through childcare (infant childcare is really expensive, btw) make it worth it.














So that's pretty much where we've been standing (or sitting) as of late, and we're playing the waiting game again. Every day is a day closer, and another thing that I remember that I forgot to get or wanted to do pre-arrival. Being pregnant hasn't really been 'the bees knees' for me, and I'd like to meet my daughter. Clocks don't tick fast enough.
