Dee dee deet deet dee dee....
Here's the bad news: I didn't get the job that I was applying for at my work. I didn't even get an interview-apparently they already had a guy in mind (who is totally, absolutely capable) who had applied the last time the job was open and had stayed in touch. I'm glad he got the job, but if the posting was just a formality, I feel that they should not have encouraged me to apply for the position.
It's ok though, I'm not really upset about it or anything, because here's the good news: I get to stay in Oklahoma with my family and friends (including all my spinning/knitting buddies-you guys are great!), I get to continue working on my house, I don't have to sell my house at a loss, and I don't have to move.
Of course getting the job and getting paid more money would have been nice, too. Rick's feeling bad for me though, he told me to buy some yarn I was looking at this week for the everlasting gobstopper bag. I told him the matching dryer to the washing machine I bought earlier this week would definitely console me. :)

The matching dryer sounds like it would be a deal to me...
Get the dryer and the yarn just to be sure ;) Seems you're actually gaining more now by staying. Selling your home at a loss would take a long time to realise the money back. There's probably something better in store that you would have missed out on anyway!
Hey, At least you investigated the possibilities. Now you get to take a break and play with yarn and household appliances. That's still pretty good!
I agree...dryer + yarn = consolation!
